Deborah Bush co-founded Endometriosis New Zealand in 1985, and has developed the “menstrual health and endometriosis” (“me”) programme for schools. She works with all stakeholders in endometriosis and is committed to collaboration.

Ros Wood has been a champion of women’s health care since the early 1980s and is a prolific and excellent writer about endometriosis and its treatments.

Ailsa Irving founded the National Endometriosis Society in 1981 and was a pioneer in raising awareness of endometriosis, and exploring complementary therapies for the disease.

Endometriosis UK Trustee and Treasurer, Carol Pearson, was nominated and honoured for her charitable work supporting women with endometriosis – particularly those struggling with benefit and employment issues.
