Endometriosis Awareness Week in Europe, Africa, Australasia and South America is 7 – 13 March 2011, and in the United States it is for the entire month of March.
Awareness can be raised within local communities, regionally, and nationally, and also provides us with an opportunity to raise funds for research into better treatments!

Please get involved with your national support organisation! – Whatever you can do really will make a difference for the estimated 176 million women worldwide who suffer from endometriosis.
EMAIL US with your activities and these will be included on this page for everyone to join in – and as an inspirations for groups further away! This page will be updated weekly from February 2011 and until the end of March 2011.

New Zealand
ENDOMETRIOSIS New Zealand launches THE BIG HUG APPEAL 2011
Suddenly, one minute can change everything, which is exactly what happened to all of us in Christchurch on 22 February 2011 at 12.51pm. We were struck by a devastating earthquake shattering our beautiful city and changing lives forever.
We are in the throws of restoring the Endometriosis New Zealand office, shoveling sewage laden liquefaction, cleaning up, putting furniture and resources back and clearing debris in an attempt to regain a sense of normality. Yet, while the focus is on rebuilding Christchurch, endometriosis remains.
Our major campaign has had to be cancelled because of the dire situation with the earthquake and Endometriosis New Zealand is now launching THE BIG HUG APPEAL which raises awareness of endometriosis in New Zealand, supports core services nationwide and will contribute to the immediate needs of Christchurch girls and women who have endometriosis and supports their families.
Details of how everyone can be involved in THE BIG HUG APPEAL are at:www.nzendo.co.nz
THERE’S NO HUGS OR BIG HUG WITHOUT THE ENDOMETRIOSIS COMMUNITY WORLDWIDE.
