15 October 2006

The Endometriosis Association (Qld) Inc is proud to announce its new Patron, Dr Susan Treloar PhD, BSocStud, MSc

Dr Susan Treloar has been a part of the groundbreaking Queensland Institute of Medical Research team researching endometriosis genetics in conjunction with Oxford University in the UK. She presented with with Dr Grant Montgomery at the last World Congress on Endometriosis in 2005:

Genomewide linkage study in 1,176 affected sister pair families identifies a significant susceptibility locus for endometriosis on chromosome 10q26

Dr Treloar and the QIMR research team have been great supporters of The Endometriosis Association (Qld) over many years, and we are all very pleased and very grateful that Sue has accepted the role of Patron of our Association. We hope that as an Association, we can continue to provide information and support to the researchers at QIMR and all associated with their research, to help them unravel the genetics of endometriosis for a those who may be effected by endometriosis both now and in the future.

We especially hope that Sue enjoys the task of patronage of our Association and will continue to be involved for many years to come.
