| NEW ZEALAND |
Endometriosis New Zealand will be active for the whole month of March with activities focusing on the ENZ growth, government, events and announcements and women and girls with the condition, as outlined in brief:
ENZ has employed Elaena Havell who begins an exciting career this year expanding the services and programmes ENZ has become known for. She will control rollout of the 'me' programme and introduce the new ‘all about me’ campaign designed to set up support groups in schools and provide personal counselling.
See www.me.school.nz for more about 'me'
Elaena is re-establishing the YES group and together with other ENZ support groups, has set up a national March campaign to raise funds through a project called “Girls Night In”. Girls around the country are planning their own fun night in, donating the money they would have spent to ENZ. In fact, some parents have been inspired to hold their own ‘night in’ with shared meals and movie nights being just some of the activities we’ve heard about.

ENZ reaches government. A meeting has been planned for the first week of March to discuss the report ENZ submitted to government in February. This was the result of a contract ENZ had with the NZ Government. Recommendations and the pathway forward will be discussed which is of national and international interest. Government has scheduled a meeting in March to discuss the report and next phase.
ENZ and Zonta has proving to be a wonderful association of the two organisations. The combined Auckland groups held a magnificent ‘All about me High Tea’ in Auckland at the Heritage Hotel in February. Money raised will help us expand ‘me’ into Auckland schools. March is Christchurch’s turn and the Zonta Clubs have combined to have a wonderful fun packed dinner on March 9th with money raised going to awareness, resource provision and ‘all about me’ in Canterbury.
Come and meet us in Hamilton at the Women’s Lifestyle Expo 14 and 15 March.
